Haven’t had a chance to try it yet as it’s not winter, but it looks really nice and I can see that the contrast in low light will be much better than my most other goggles. Be warned, the lens looks more clear and has a reddish tint than it shoes in the picture. It looks like a blue mirrored lens when outdoors and surrounded by snow and reflected light.
Replaced the old ones with a scratch. I had the green color before, but the blue seems to be a bit better on the lower light days. No fogging problems at all.
Easy to swap out, read the instructions!
Great low light lens. Used it for snow and overcast days. Very happy with this lens. Had a few break in the clouds where I had sun in my eyes and they still had decent visibility.
Recently picked up a Prizm Jade Iridium lens for my Fight Deck goggles. With hesitation, this is the best lens I have ever used. The morning was overcast and the lens was perfect. The afternoon was bright sun and, again, the lens was perfect. There is a bit of a learning curve in changing the lens. However, once you get over the intuitive reaction to fit the edge of the lens into the goggle and realize you need to fit just under the edge of the lens, the process is fairly easy. Though not something which could easily be done on the lift.
Solid lenses can't go wrong with Oakley. They fit my L/Xl Flight decks perfectly and for $50 you can't beat the price! (+100 elsewhere) These lenses are perfect for when it storming/dumping snow as well as night riding. Winner forsure
Great lens. Only complaint is that Oakley should at least include a microfiber bag to put the lens in. For the price of the lens, I expect something as simple and inexpensive as a cloth bag should be included. This is a spare lens for my Oakley Flight Deck goggles which came with a microfiber goggle bag. The Flight Deck goggle bag, however, doesn't have a partition in it to store a spare lens. My Smith IO goggles came with a spare lens and the included goggle bag had a partition to store the spare lens.
This lens is just amazing! It works not only during cloudy or snowy days, but also during regular sunny days, even though you get way more sun rather than with a darker lens. The lens change process is pretty straightforward, but clicking the nose pin needs a bit effort.
I purchased these to go with my brand new goggles that came with the Prizm Torch Iridium lens. This lens promised to be a bit darker to work on those super-bright ski days. These did appear darker than the Torch lens, but not as dark as I'd expected and hoped, to be honest, given the difference in VLT of this (5.5%) verses the Torch lens (19%).As for fit, this lens went on perfectly with my Oakley Flight Deck goggles; no issues there at all.I ultimately didn't even end up using this Prizm Black Iridium replacement lens on the slopes during my recent ski trip, and just stuck with the Prizm Torch lens, even on the sunny days. I'm on the fence, as a result, whether to keep them or just send them back.
Ordered the Rose Prizm lens for my recent trip to Keystone, CO. Knowing that the winter storm was in effect, these lens worked great. It was mostly low light to white out conditions and I was able to see the full train definition. Highly recommend the Rose Prizm tint if you know there will be a chance for low visibility on the slopes.
