I look cool. Great view of the world.
The extra features that the Clifden comes with in comparison to the Forager don't justify the price difference. They are still great. love the look and the lenses. The frame is just a little flimsy and cheap compared to other styles at the same price point
Loved these glasses! Bought them for my son. He’s a FedEx driver and the only thing he said was that the side shields caused him to loose his peripheral vision. Luckily, all he had to do was remove them.I wish the description of the glasses was clearer about what was included. The case and eyeglass leash was included but I couldn’t see them listed so I ordered them too. Now I have to return them.
These are the. most comfortable sunglasses I have ever owned. They are very pricey, but the quality shows - very well made, fits great, and the side pieces block any unwanted sun. I bought them because I have sensitive eyes. They are big and round, which my kids say make me look like a biker or a pilot. I like them too much to care!
Amazing
I have been an Oakley sunglass user for more than a decade, and this is one of their best models so far. I really enjoy that they wrap around the eye, so no light will come from the sides. This is their best feature as some glasses tend to not cover the sides. However, if you are planning to move around in a crowded street, I would recomend removing the side blockers as you dont have a peripheral vision when they are installed. At least these peripheral covers are removable if you dont like them. Another feature I love is the integrated wire that holds the glasses to you neck in case they fall. The polarization on the lenses is super useful as they provide more clarity on dim days and help lower brightness of the exterior. These lenses have a slight red hue to them but they are doable on a day to day basis. As a added bonus the glasses have a rubber insert that helps them keep in place. Would definely recomend to anyone who goes a lot to the outdoors.
I understand that I bought the glasses on sale, of course. But is it really a reason not to include a small but necessary thing like a strap for glasses? I'm wearing "Okley" for many years and have bought this model several times. It always came with a strap. And even a cloth for wiping the lenses. I am, of course, satisfied with the glasses. But giving 5 stars - it goes against my religion. Everything arrived intact and in good condition, two weeks ahead of schedule - I'm happy about that. If you had included the cord, like in the last photo, I would have been delighted. A good thing that I didn't throw away the old one.
Excellent sunglasses, great for outdoor activities, love to do cycling and the addition of the rubber covers are wonderful. Mine got run over by a vehicle and are still in good use, a few scratches but excellent materials.
I have a pair of Holbrook XL's that I use daily. I thought that these would be cool to try. Compared to the Xl's these are very small. They do offer a goof amount of protection along the side, kind of like safety shields. Ultimately though they were too small and kind of cheap, so I returned them.
I'll never buy from Oakley again.First, when I purchased these they were only $160. Now they're nearly double the price. These aren't even worth $50 in my honest opinion. We'll start with the pros:-They block sunlight (woweeee)Now the cons:-These somehow near instantly fogged up from the difference of my own body temperature to the cooler outside and required me wiping multiple times. (These are mountaineering sunglasses?) They fogged up various times in slightly contrasting temperatures despite my crappy cheapo 30 buck also mountaineering style sunglasses don't do this at all. Hell none of my other 3 pairs of sunglasses fog like these do.-They feel and are cheaply made. These now 250+ buck sunglasses have tiny little hinges on the side shields that will obviously snap over time and in other peoples reviews have. They feel like crappy plastic, I would have never guessed their cost being what it is if someone handed me them.-You need a very wide nose for the pads to actually touch your nose. Otherwise the bridge plastic lays to rest upon your nose bridge instead. Guess what? There's no soft pad there, it's a hard and sharp piece of plastic. You'll take these off and have a wonderfully stupid looking line imprinted across the bridge of your nose. They couldn't even be bothered to make the bridge plastic smooth/rounded.-One of the nosepads somehow manage to fall off as I was removing these. Tiny little pad barely held on lost to the oblivion of a grass field. Oh? what's that? You want a replacement pad, well they're only $5 with another $10-12 shipping fee not including taxes (Yay!) $15+ bucks and slow shipping for a tiny piece of rubber. I could buy a better pair of sunglasses for that price. My cheapest pair of wrap around soccer dad looking sunglasses outdo these Oakleys in every manner.I truly understand your desire for side shielding mountaineering type sunglasses as I have several myself. But do yourself a favor and get something better. This truly does not deserve your money. For this price you could get something like Valencias that out class these in every way. Or you could go cheap and get Carreras. Both would likely look better as well.
