I like these glasses for the pure and simple fact that the lenses don’t touch my face. That’s why I bought i them and that’s what they do.
Just love it....super cool. My husband loves them. I would recommend this pair of glasses without a doubt.
I'm an adult male. I bought this model because it is designed to fit my Asian face, and indeed it does! I wear it for tennis where there's abrupt body/head movements and I sweat profusely, but the high nose bridge and the rubber-covered arms grip my skull well so no slipping down my face. No fogging issue either, because there's an air gap between the lens bottom and my low cheekbone. The tight grip of the arms on my head is firm but not uncomfortable. Recommended buy.
The quality and style of Oakley 9271was very nice and high quality. I contacted the seller, Boutique Shop for enquiry of shipping and they are very quick in response with sincere care of their customer. I think this seller is reliable and trustworthy.
Okay, you are Asian and you have trouble finding sunglasses that do not slide down your face. I have good news. Your long search is over, my friend. This model from Oakley has your name on it.This is a great pair of sunglasses. The Oakley lenses are almost invisible. The clarity is astonishing. And that elusive Asian fit is perfect. So why not 5 stars? Well, there is the problem of price. Oakley and the other famous sunglass makers are all overpricing their products. The reason is explained in an excellent documentary on Youtube called "why are glasses so expensive." I will not give you a link here, but you can search for it. It is easy to find.I picked the "positive iridium lens" because it gives the right balance of shade and light transmission. You can use this pair of sunglasses indoors. It lets in a lot of light but still blocks all of the harmful UV rays, according to Oakley. Obviously, each lens has its particular use. The positive iridium is a good all-around lens. Fine for a sunny day but can be used indoors. You might want to pick mirrored lenses if you are a Lifeguard. Assess your needs carefully and then read Oakley's description of each lens type to find the right one. This model is gorgeous. I loved the color and it is sporty and sexy. Like I said, the quality of the lens is beyond reproach. Now, if they can just bring down price down to a reasonable number . . .Highly recommended, if it is within your price range. If the price is too high for you, then please check out some of the custom sunglass makers on the web. I had a pair of sunglasses made to my specification, with purple gradient lenses, that is almost as good as this Oakley. The frame is not as good a quality but the lenses are claimed to be 100% UV blocking. For a fraction of the price. The fit was very good. If you are Asian though, your choice is really Oakley. Nobody makes sunglass frames that fit Asian males as well as Oakley. That is what many Asian males are telling me.I use these Oakley sunglasses when relaxing and sunning at the swimming pool. It works great for that. The style is youthful and sexy. The lens clarity is so good that I sometimes forget that I am wearing sunglasses. Even when I go indoors. These are truly great sunglasses from Oakley. This is my fourth pair of Oakleys. My first was a pair of black frame Frogskins in 1993. This is the best model yet.
I have a low bridge nose Asian face and have a hard time finding sunglasses that fit. These have a large nose pad that sits at the top of my nose bridge, and perfectly wraps around my face without touching my cheeks. I use them for road cycling and also purchased the Prizm Road Iridium lens set separately. Be aware this frame was uniquely designed and different than the regular Flak models. You need to buy the Asian Fit accessory lenses which are 61mm wide and only fit this frame. When worn alone in bright sun, I did see some lens reflection coming from the top. It disappeared and was crystal clear when I wore my bike helmet or a baseball cap. Very satisfied with these sunglasses.
Big shout out to Oakley for producing Asian fit versions. Normal Oakleys rest on my cheeks and these fit perfectly. I own 2 pairs of Flak 1.0 and have held up well. The fit is slightly different. The 2.0 have a more rigid feel on the sides and hugs my face more. Prizm lenses are awesome, but be careful when driving with them. Some tints will make brake lights on old cars harder to see.
My girlfriend liked my Flaks, so I got her a pair for her birthday. Most people seem to flinch at the price for a pair of Oakleys. I did to until I tried a friends Blades for a day back around '90. Had my own pair the next payday and haven't been without since. Light, comfortable and excellent optics. No eyestrain, no pinching the nose, they dig into your ears. That has been the case with all the models I have had and the Flak 2.0 are as good as any of the others. The polarized lens options are good for everything and a must for things like fishing. Yeah, they cost more than the cheap peeps at the gas station, but these are great shades and well worth it.
I would recommend these to anyone who is willing to invest a little more money into sunglasses to have some of the highest quality, durable, best fitting sunglasses on the Market. So I would recommend them to everyone.
These are the Asian fit Flak 2.0 Oakleys, and the Asian Fit Flak Jacket 1.0's fit me perfectly. I wanted something new and gave the Flak 2.0 a try. Unfortunately, my Flak 2.0's arrived with one ear stem completely bent/twisted causing the hinge to appear in my peripheral view only on the right side. In addition, the ear stems seem to have an unnecessary amount of material, especially the wings on the temple area. They weight exactly the same as the Flak Jacket XLJ 1.0 at 25 grams, except the Flak 2.0's aren't XLJ's! The Flak 2.0's aren't much of a change over the original Flak Jackets. In my honest opinion, if I had to buy a new pair of Oakley's today given the choice between the Flak Jacket and Flak 2.0, I'd pick the Flak Jacket (1.0) for better styling and design. I'm not impressed with the Flak 2.0, the lenses aren't that much bigger. The matte black finish feels extremely cheap! Understanding that Oakley paints all of their frames (the polished black frame is basically the Standard Issue matte black plastic with a coat of shiny paint), the paint over time will flake off in the areas that contact sweat or flex. I assumed the matte black would be the same as the non-coated matte black from the Oakley Standard Issue line, but instead the matte black on the Flak 2.0 is still a painted finish because it is "too" matte. The Standard Issue non-coated frames look and feel more "porous" due to the natural non-coated plastic material.
